I regretted my decision to watch during the opening skit. Turned it off immediately thereafter.

Somebody tell me what I'm not getting about this musical act.

Man, that opening skit was awful. Had to opt for a MASH rerun after that.

    100th post!

She's never done a thing for me, and the show isn't, either.

Best line of the night, just before the awful "Da Learnin' Train" skit:

"You're watching Discovery Kids, which means you have so many channels your children are guaranteed to find porn."

I keep trying (WHY?!). It's good every now and then (I thought last week's was the best in a while), but this shit is awful. I just watch because there's not much on late Saturday and I've been watching since I was like 8. But damn, people.

The opening was terrible, the Gilly skit with Kristen Wiig was just painful to watch, and Da Learning Train was dreadful. It's good to know that Wiig's stupid travel correspondent won't be on "Weekend Update" anymore (Just Kidding!).

The Gitmo Going Out of Business Sale skit was pretty funny, with the Cuban woman buying the painting of Rumsfeld because it "looks like my tio Pepe." I like Wiig's take on Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sudeikis' Ricky Gervais, but there's not much here to laugh at. I need more beer.

The musical guest (Fleet Foxes?) was sort of interesting, but I'm not sure. Better than Taylor Swift, that's for sure.

The Aladdin skit was pretty funny. And that opening to Da Learning Train was great.

Otherwise, ehh. And Kristen Wiig is VERY quickly jumping the shark. PLAY A DIFFERENT CHARACTER OTHER THAN THE CRAZY WOMAN WHO TALKS REALLY FAST AND SAYS INCOMPREHENSIBLE SHIT!!!

I really, really, really dislike Kristen Wiig.

Bill Hader, however, is incredibly funny.

Glad I'm watching this one on tape, man is it not hitting the mark. I almost wish some of these bad episodes had a commentary option so the writers could explain what was supposed to be funny about the skit. It's just plain flat, every beat of every skit, and the looks on the cast's faces makes me think they realized that this episode sucked pretty bad.

What continues to amaze me is that there is no laugh track, yet we hear people laughing. Where do they get such easy crowds?

I usually hang on at least until Weekend Update, but didn't last night. Gilly was mildly amusing, just because of the demented look on Wiig's face and the undertoned "sorry'." But it went on far too long. Everything else was just shite.

These are (supposedly) professional comedic actors. Do they not know they're sucking week after week?? My God, even the digital short sucked balls.
