I jumped the gun last year, and dadgummit, I did it again. I went to set up a league tonight at Yahoo! when it asked if I wanted to renew a league -- SportsJournalists.com Loosers. The info ...

... Can't say you didn't get an early notice. And now, I'm back to looking for every updated mock bracket, kenpom.com's stats and whatever else can make me feel like I know something about what's going to happen during the tournament before my bracket drops like a rock.

Oh, a couple more things. Apparently it kept track of everyone who signed up a year ago, and everyone who did so should have an e-mail waiting in your inbox with all the details.

Also, they have a couple different scoring options. One gives bonus points for picking lower-seeded teams correctly and you're awarded the number of points indicated for each upset you correctly predict. The other is a seed-difference bonus, so you would get 11 points should you correctly pick a No. 14 to upset a No. 3. Thoughts on using those as opposed to Yahoo! defaults? I'll go with what you guys want, obviously.

Lisa's Loosers, checking in and hopefully recovering from last year's debacle. I like the idea of the bonus points for upsets, but not the seed-differential bonus.
