Singleton is at it again

    Word is that lean Dean is in the buyout mode. There may be some surprises with the names I've heard taking the dough and running to the nearest exit. I know for a fact that people at places such as the Marin Independent Journal have until about 4 p.m. to make a decision.

    If I had more years invested in any one place, I'd definitely take a buyout. Good luck everyone.

    The folks at the Salt Lake Tribune -- where buyouts haven't happened, yet -- must be nervous.

    We're in the last month of the quarter, so I suspect a lot more buyouts/layoffs are coming.

    Indeed. Don't know how many, but some BANG newsroom staffers got whacked Friday. Didn't hear anything about buyouts, and haven't heard any names.
