I have spent an hour trying to figure out what someone who knew what they were doing could do in five seconds. How can I combine several images into one new image?

    Create a new image.

Do a 'select all' on one of the images. Copy. Paste it into the new image. Repeat for the other images you want to combine into the new image.

Thanks. I think there's a reason why I've never had a job that included Photoshop work. Good Lord. Well, at least I've got my weekly dose of feeling like a dumbass out of the way. I figured it was possible to copy and paste just like with text, but I couldn't find that option since I had the move tool on the palette selected.
