MIAMI -- Upset that the toddler left in his care wouldn't stop crying, a 12-year-old Lauderhill, Fla., boy picked up a baseball bat and beat the little girl to death, police said.

"He became enraged ... because she made noise while he was trying to watch television," said Lauderhill police Lt. Mike Cochran.

The boy was believed to be a cousin of the victim, 17-month-old Shaloh Joseph, who died from multiple blows to the head, authorities said.

    Wow.

Now I really wish I didn't read that.

Even I wouldn't do that. There's a volume button for a reason, folks: So you don't beat your family to death.

Will he be tried as an adult?

    I can't imagine a 12-year-old would be.

They'll probably just send him to juvie til he's 18.

From the same story: "In the new case, the 12-year-old boy is charged as a juvenile, but could later be charged as an adult."

I believe that is the case Bill Curtis did a show about on A&E that I saw. There were cameras at the airport when they brought the guy through the concourse and the dad pretended to be on the phone and as the guy passed he shot him.
