    Not very far. Newspapers are into cutting costs, not covering them.

    It would help in the short-term but $200 million wouldn't help in any subsequent years.

    Well, if the Globe is losing $50 million a year, it leaves them with little choice.

    The NYT has a substantial payment due on its debt in the next couple of quarters. This sale would help cover it.
