Should salary be a secret?

    I've only shared my salary with one other person at my work because he was complaining up and down that he was the lowest paid full-timer in the shop. I looked at him and said doubttful and wrote down my hourly wage and he wrote down his. I was $3 an hour less and he stopped complaining.

    But it is not something I would do on a regular basis.

    People who disagree with you aren't "arguing" with you because of your position, peacer. It's because of the attitude. Read your last post for an example of what I mean.
    The condescending, holier-than-thou tone has been there almost throughout. (Actually, I've noticed that a lot with several of the newer, more regular posters lately).

    Besides, it's a message board. You want people to respond on and discuss threads, don't you?
