    Another shoulder setback:

I can't see this guy ever getting back on a pitcher's mound and being effective.

Sad story really. He looked like a future Hall of Famer when he came up.

Dusty Baker says you should just put him out there on the mound anyway.

Why anyone, ANYONE would ever let Dusty Baker on a major league bench ever again is beyond me.

Johnny Cueto and Edinson Volquez might be asking the same thing in the near future.

Volquez in particular...other night, with shoulder discomfort, 118 pitches.

Aaron Harang, in the very near future, will join Volquez and Cueto in wondering, "Why Dusty? Why?"

Good lord, WHY is the best question to ask right there. WHY does this man seem hell bent on doing these things. The kid's 24, has outstanding stuff and a great future but really hasn't dealt with a full load yet. I guess he's probably more likely to handle such a high number of innings than Cueto is though.
    But even so, highly ridiculous.

    No kidding.
It's not the same game when you were around, Mr. Dusty Baker. Teams are supposed to build bullpens and you know, maybe save a kid's arm instead of laying it to waste for a regular season game in May.
    Good lord.
    I didn't think he'd do that, I thought he'd be different.
    Hah!

And, IIRC, Cinci had a decent-sized lead too.
