So let's say for argument, OSU loses.

    OSU: One loss.
    Florida: One loss.
    USC: Two losses.
    Michigan: Two losses.

13-0 Boise has no claim to the national championship?

The national championships are not stocks. You don't get shares. One team wins the BCS national championship, and it's possible the same team wins the AP championship (and others) too. But the only way there can be a shared championship is if one poll has a tie for first place.

Sorry, but I will not budge on this. There are separate championships, not one big championship that is "shared." I don't know why I'm the only person on the planet who sees this plain and simple truth.

Let's have a playoff and find out. It's a simple as that.
I've said many times, the bowl system is TERRIBLE for college football. Maybe it's tradition, but it continues to turn people off that they don't get a true champion. It is going to get worse and worse. You watch.

You should stick with the Sears catalog.

In your world, Division I-A football would not be complete unless it made like hockey and allowed 75-80 percent of the teams to be in the playoff. It would last for 16 weeks and would feature 4-8 teams.

Where did I say that, Oh Lord of Blowhard?

    Oh wait, I didn't.

Go back to printing your "book" at Kinko's, you miserable excuse for a human being.

Kinko's stopped staying open 24 hours, so I'll have to do something else, though.

You are just part of the hype machine that thinks somehow Boise State should be a national champion after defeating ONE good team.

Boise State is very good. But Boise State is far from No. 1.

Boise State beat Oregon State, which beat USC, and Boise State finished 13-0. Boise State > USC since they won't actually play.

You need Reading For Dummies. I suggested that they have an argument if OSU loses. Do I think they're a National Championship team? No. But if they're the only unbeaten team in the nation come January ninth, it's going to be hard to say, "Well, Florida was the better team."

Since Kinko's isn't open 24 hours, maybe you can pay for a hooker and get your ass laid.

Nope, nope, nopidy nope nope nope. I'm not looking it up, but wasn't this their first win over a ranked team all year? Sorry, but it just isn't that easy. And the thing is, I hate that it isn't. But I know it still isn't. That's why the playoff has to happen. 16 teams over the same time span between the end of the season and the BCS Championship game would work.

And sorry, Oz, but the transitive property of sports doesn't actually hold water.
