Shooting at Courier-Journal parking lot leaves one dead

Just saw this on the C-J's site. Thoughts and prayers are with my friends up there.

 

Was just about to post this. Scary stuff.

 

From the early rumors it may have been a suicide and possibly someone who had fled from the federal courthouse next door.

 

Here is the latest. Witnesses say marshals chased someone into the parking lot.

In the times we're in, you always fear the worst.

 

Wasn't there a huge workplace shooting in a building right next to the C-J about 20 years ago?

 

I wonder if security was on furlough.

 

The publisher is pleased - the paper doesn't have to reimburse the reporter and photog covering this for their mileage to the parking lot.

 

Until we know more, don't you think it's a little early for this?

I believe it was in the C-J building sometime in the 1980s. Domestic dispute involving one of the press people?

I was in that building months before 9/11 and remember remarking that the security was very tight.
