I'll buy that, although it still doesn't excuse the remarks.

Not to threadjack, just to respond: private adoption is legal in California, and while it's not cheap, many people go that route because it's faster. You could easily call an adoption attorney in June, and have a baby in July. Most people just can't afford the financial support for the birthparents, the out-of-pocket medical bills, and the legal fees.

    Star had damn good coverage.

Maybe if Jeff Blair at the Globe spent less time with our pal Elliotte co-hosting the FAN's afternoon drive show, he might have been all over it. And where's Bob Elliott from the Sun? Didn't see anything there either.

Shea might have acted like a child but I'm sure there's some blame to throw Gibbons & Ricciardi's way.

That made me laugh. What was the context?

I'd say Hillenbrand is being/has been criticized.
The difference in the level of criticism between Owens and Hillenbrand is directly proportional to the difference in the level of the fame/celebrity.
One is a national star in the nation's most popular sport.
The other is a mediocre player in the second or third most popular sport.

Whitlock just compared these two on PTI. Did he get it from this site?

    Should he attribute TheSportsPredictor?

    What'd he say?

I think it's a joke that Hillenbrand's going to end up on a team that will likely make the playoffs. He is going to be rewarded for being an ass. I thought Philly's treatment of T.O. last year was heavy-handed, but I'm glad the Eagles at least had the balls to tell him to take a hike and had the power to keep his ass from jumping to another team.

This shows once again the power management holds in the NFL and the power that management doesn't hold in MLB.

I didn't pay attention, but he asked who was worse for their teams.

I read he adopted from Guatemala. A friend adopted from there, and it happened fast. In fact, she went to pick up a baby girl and brought home a girl and a boy. (She's having fun now! :D )

I think it's possible the Jays might have punished him for adopting. I just heard it being talked about on radio, and his adoption was described as an "errand." When somebody's wife has a baby - is that an "errand"? I can actually see why he'd be upset that he wasn't congratulated.

    Just my thoughts....

It was on the heavy metal station in town. Said, "Trade me now, faggot." Not long after he was dealt to 'Zona for BH Kim and was pissed about it, even though Epstein flew from Arizona to Toronto to inform him of the trade. Hillenbrand claimed he found out from friends.
