One of OUR photogs turned in a photo Friday night identifying a running back as an "offensive linebacker."

We had one in the spring turn in a baseball photo of a double play, in which he said, "Second baseman So-and-So passes the ball to shortstop So-and-So..."

I tell them all the time: ID the team; ID the kid; tell me if anything happened on the play; tell me what quarter it is. All they're doing beyond that is spotlighting their ignorance.

Good news, though. I totally got my fourth notice that the Atlanta Thrashers are the Winnipeg Jets last Friday.

Just wondering what's up: All the stories from the Kings-Coyotes game last night had PHOENIX datelines. The arena is in GLENDALE, Ariz.
Wondering if I missed some sort of memo on this.

That's not unheard of for AP, dateline with the major metro area that's involved. For example, the Dolphins play in Miami Gardens or whatever (used to be unincorporated Miami-Dade County), but the dateline is MIAMI.

Glendale and Phoenix are a big difference.
Actually, Glendale is one of the biggest cities in the state.
