I take my cue from McGwire and secretariat. When they start flogging Obama, I will be satisfied

Fenian Bastard must be beside himself over this. When he was around, he was hammering Bush, Cheney and Justice Dept more than Patrick Leahy

The further away you get from the center, the more opposition you'll find to the Patriot Act.

See the Pauls, father & son, Bob Barr, etc.

Um, being uneasy about giving the government too much power to snoop into our lives isn't really a radical position.

No it's not , but it appears now that the democrats are not as concerned as they once were.

No surprise: GOP lawmakers request an actual signing as opposed to RoboPen.

No surprise: Obama spokesperson says that won't be necessary.

    I wonder again:

It would be pretty neat if this was all so it could get challenged in court and lose. "Oh, jeez, sorry guys . . . guess I shouldn't have used the JetsonsPen. No more Patriot Act, huh? That's a shame, a crying shame."

    So?
Most congressmen understand little of the legislation they pass.

In other words, another case of "GOP lawmakers against something Obama does just because it's Obama doing it."
