Sen. John Kerry to hold senate hearings on newspaper industry

    These hearings ought to be real compelling. We'll be getting a bunch of executive suits talking about how the economy and the 'Net have doomed their business.

    And they'll conveniently leave out how their demand for 30 percent profit margins helped cause the collapse.

    If Doug Frantz is asking the questions (through his lips or another's), he'll fuckin' kill 'em. Trust me.
    But, of course, it will result in little or no change.

    (And for those you who think the steroid hearings didn't mean a thing are mistaken. Without those hearings there would be zero policing of baseball, still. They broke one of the strongest unions in the United States, not through policy or law, but through perception.)
