Selig to be in attendance when Bonds passes Aaron

I'd likely join this sentiment, except I'm fairly sure Arod will come along and break the record in a short time.

There doesn't seem to be much that would stop him, other than catastrophic injury.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. What Oz said, too.

Only thing wrong was that Selig took this long to make this decision.

Give me the smoking gun, or you have nothing.

What is it that makes some of you so willing to throw due process out the window in this instance?

    Selig should be there.

I want his face forever associated with this fucking catastrophe that is partly of his making.

I have a letter from him in 1974 that disputes your besmirching attempt.

That was the Griffey line 10 years ago.

    How fucking old are you?

Aaron was getting an avalanche of death threats as he approached the Great White Hope's HR mark in 1974.

He was utterly "quiet, graceful and dignified."

Do the math, son. No one said he wasn't getting death threats. In fact, if you read the post and actually comprehend English, I noted that whatever anger he carried internally was quite justified. Please learn to read.

Dan Patrick's tough questions pushed Bud into going.

And here I was hoping Bud would've said he'd be at a Jay-Z party for the next month and couldn't make it to the game if and when Bonds breaks the record.

Saw an interesting stat the other day.

70something players (in pro baseball) have been suspended for steroids . . . and 40something of them were pitchers.

Not sure what (if anything) that means, but if, say, 60 percent of the major league steroid users in the Steroid Era were pitchers, does that take just a little but of the tarnish off the hitters (who seem to get about 99.9 percent of the Steroid blame)?
