Prediction columns are the greatest columns to write. They spark debate and no one grades them. Is anyone really going to come back in 10 years of whatever and say, "Haha, Selena was wrong!"? And anyone vehemently saying she is wrong is dumber than a box of rocks. You don't know either!

Atleast she took a fresh angle. I'll give her credit for that.

Reilly wrote the same column at the start of the year.

I don't even buy her argument that "the pressure" got to the Patriots. They got outplayed.

  5. And the elephant in the room - wasn't Tom Brady hobbled that week to some significant degree?

Anyone with a brain knew that defensive line would get to Brady,

    Exactly.

Dumb assertion that pressure got to them.... Yes, pressure from the front four got to them.

Though, if Samuel catches the interception, the game is still over for 19-0.

It was an awful matchup for them.

And there's no accountability. No penalty for being wrong. Not even a correction (unless the writer pokes fun at himself later).

  10. A correction for a sports results prediction column??

    Acknowledgment of error. Whatever.

Then again, I despise prediction columns, stories, charts, anything. Utter waste of space.

If the person doing the predicting honestly could demonstrate accuracy beyond that of your average sports talk show caller, I might think differently.

    But they can't.

  12. They would be fun to read.
