What's great about this is, you see where your heart is vs. where you actually stand on the issues.

For example, I sort of respect the Huckster.

My heart would much rather see the Huckster with the nom than <shiver> Mitt. And yet, the quiz tells me Romney is my second best Republican. Eeew.

Huckabee (sort of scary) followed by Edwards.

    Yuck.

    That's an odd couple.

    Actually, they're both "populists."

I'm picturing Huckabee in a Mets cap and smoking a cigar while Edwards is compulsively wiping the kitchen countertop in their midtown apartment.

My No. 1 was Dodd at 71, followed by Obama and HRC at 65, Kucinich at 61 and Biden at 60, which is a bit strange because Kucinich usually comes up No. 1 for me on these quizzes.

Drop Dead Fred Thompson comes in last with a whopping two points.

    Rudy-38
    Hillary, Obama-35
    Edwards-32
Hunter, Romney, Dodd, Huck - 31
    Biden-28
    Thompson, Kucinich-27
    Richardson -26
    McCain-23
    Gravel-14
    Paul-9

Guess that means I'm either a liberal Republican or some type of Democrat.

Or at least trying to be. I think Edwards isn't clicking on that level. I just didn't buy him in jeans in New Orleans after Katrina.

    And writing, pure gold.

These things are OK for getting a general feel for a candidate. But where can I find honest, unbiased, solid research on candidates (to include voting records on major issues, and such) without having to sign up for Old Navy coupons at the end?

There is nothing wrong with any of those activities.
