"An unprecedented look behind the scenes — based largely on documents unavailable at the time — reveals a disturbing level of criminal conduct and hooliganism by the players on that team."

  2. Thanks - I read that Clever. It doesn't answer my question.

Reading from afar, I gather there's some grumbling at the Tyrone Willingham regime, which so far hasn't gotten good enough fast enough to satisfy some of the more rabid boosters.

Did you guys click the link right below that quote? What you're citing is just the intro. Here's the full story. Dunno Armstrong and Perry, but they got a lot of good stuff.

Thanks for the link. Outstanding bit of investigative reporting. It's depressing, but not surprising, that Washington would support one of its primary revenue generators.

Today class, we learned that Jerramy Stevens is lacking in any rational decision-making ability.

Or it could bring justice for the woman who received none originally. Statute of limitations has yet to run out.

The deeper issue here is not the rape or the crimes of UW players, that's long been part of Stevens' resume'. What the prosecutor did and why he did it and who knew what is what the issue is here. The guy who killed the charges as a deputy is now the King County Prosecuting Attorney. That the AD decided that, because charges were not pressed, punishment should not be further meted out is outrageous. As somebody said in the piece, charges being dropped does not mean he did not do anything wrong. The AD and coach knew he anally raped somebody in an alley and did nothing about it.

This shows a contempt for true justice, stretching from some douchebag tight end all the way up to the prosecutor's office. To me, that's a story worth writing.

Word is the next installment will be on Curtis Williams, who died a year or so after being paralyzed in a game. Apparently the guy was a total piece of shit before he was paralyzed. UW fans are already up in arms.

The thing UW fans do not get about this series is that they largely are just supporting actors. The bigger problem here is the legal system. Everybody knew UW was dirty back then. That the legal system was knee deep in this shit is the "wow" of this thing. Nobody is surprised that Stevens, Pharms and Williams are/were human excrement. It's stunning that law enforcement let this go on for so long.
