    Didn't you say that about the Star's national baseball writer?

    Did K.C. ever make a hire for that spot?

    I hear the Louisville columnist job will be a real horse race, with a filly the odds-on favorite.

    Hell, it just seems like yesterday that Brewer replaced Forde. But I guess that's because Forde had been a columnist for quite some time (what, 10 years?) before he left for ESPN.

    It's a big loss for the C-J.
