I've always liked Reno since I had a recruiting visit there in high school. Love Tahoe, of course, and the downtown casino area is walkable and has a couple of nice places (Siena is sharp) next to the river. That said, this can't pay a great deal and there isn't a whole lot there besides the Wolfpack. Good spot for an up-and-coming editor, perhaps.

Ah, Reno...pay might not be great, but you don't need much coin if you eat Awful-Awfuls at the Nugget Diner every day.

  7. Seven-person department at a 62k daily??

I hope they fill internally so I can apply for a writing position. That is all.

    I raise you a Fazekas.

  11. Seven people does indeed sound low. I was thinking that maybe the desk was separate from sports, but apparently the sports editor has to be able to paginate..........!
