Saturday Down South (SEC), Saturday Tradition (Big Ten), Saturday Road (ACC) and Saturday Out West (Pac-12) are seeking multiple remote freelance news writers for specific team and league coverage.

We pay per hour and per story and enjoy a fast-paced environment with coverage of all things college football. Freelancers write about recruiting commitments, press conferences, game coverage, TV/radio reaction and other aggregation stories. Ability to submit clean copy quickly is a plus, as the ideal candidate can write multiple stories per hour. Additional opportunities for opinion/analysis are available.

Several people on our staff have parlayed freelancing jobs into FT jobs.

Team specific expertise is welcome, but knowledge and awareness of league-wide and national trends is preferred.

Weekend availability for hourly shifts is ideal, and would be a huge advantage.

Email keith.farner@xlmedia.com with a resume, links to story examples and a description of why you’re qualified.
