    Gill was the best pure athlete I ever saw live from press row when I covered a Mizzou-Illini game at the old Arena in St. Louis. He seemed to float up and down the court, effortless. It didn't translate into an All-Star, Hall of Fame NBA career, but he was the shit in college.

    It seemed like every time he dunked, he dunked with the left hand, and he punched it off someone's head, a lot of times, his own.
