Haven't read the opinion -- will peruse on the train ride home tonight.

If you want more opinions like the dissent, vote for McCain. Because they are one vote away from taking over.

And the ironic thing is, both McCain and Obama agree that treating the prisoners like this is wrong.

"They", who resent that non-multi-millionaires actually have rights, in this country.

The conservative wing of Republicans. The group that wants to tell you, as a grown adult who you can choose as another adult to marry. The group that wants to tell pregnant women what to do with their bodies. The group that wants to tell families how to make medical decisions for their loved ones. The group that wants to make your children pray to their God in school. The group that wants to take away your right to overtime pay. It's self-reliance, dammit!

The group that wants to declare anyone who isn't wearing a flag pin as unpatriotic, and if you don't like America, then you can be declared an enemy combatant and thrown in jail without a trial.

    That is who 'they' are.

So I guess Obama is one of "them" since he and McCain agree with SCOTUS on this issue.

    Winner, winner...

  12. There have been American citizens denied trials by this administration.
I don't care where you are on the political spectrum, that should scare the hell out of you.
Nobody -- not Obama, McCain, Bush, Clinton, Reagan, George Washington -- should have that kind of power.
I know the history with Lincoln and FDR, too. That doesn't make it right.
