I think the idea is ridiculous. But wouldn't put it past Bud & Co. either. Since they moved away from best-of-fives in the divisional series several years ago in favor of all best-of-sevens, the next logical move (to those who are illogical) would be best-of-nine.

I tell ya though, where I'd really like to see best-of-nine is the first round of the NBA and NHL playoffs.
