figuring the painter would go with the rising stick, if you know what I mean; even if that required some artistic license...

 

If you are thinking about THIS photo, then his stick would be pointing downward to the ice...

 

Perhaps I should say stick extending outward and leave it at that.

No wonder I'm not a frickin' artist.

 

The players involved probably can't do anything to stop it, but can't they probably get their hands on pretty much all of the proceeds? "Misappropriation of personal image," etc etc ?

I like the fact that the artist admits he had a man-crush on Bobby Orr while growing up. The online gallery, by the way, is SFW but that painting of Derek Sanderson is disturbing.

 

I'm glad he only did a mugshot of Jacques Plante. Painting him nude would have just been sacrilegious somehow.

 

Would Plante sport a mask?
