What did a 1984 Ford Escort do to deserve that?

Once again those who favor attempts rehabilitation, parole and probation kill again, via proxy.

    You beat me to it.

There was a case in Virginia where two "men" attacked and killed a family in broad daylight in a good community. The only reason why they chose that home was because the family had the glass door closed, but the main door behind it was open to let the sun inside the house. They thought it would be easier to go through the glass door.

This does scare me to death, but I take solice in thinking that I have a better chance of getting killed on an interstate driving to work than I do having something like this happen. You cannot defend yourself against it. You can only pray that it does not happen to you, and then you need to keep living and enjoying life. I gained this logic living through the DC Sniper scare.

This also makes me perfectly comfortable when the cops profile and stop people to talk to them when they are walking around or driving through a community where they seem out of place.

Terrible terrible story. Cheshire is a nice area but it close to an area that has a "hills has eyes , Deliverence feel to it.

For once, I agree, at least in part, with Yab on this one. Not to say that all attempts at probation and rehab are failures, but incidents like this can really sour opinion and support for such efforts.

Geez Alley this type of thinking might get you labeled as a wing tip wearing conservative.
