We are actively recruiting a freelance columnist to cover Michigan (and potentially Michigan State/B1G).

This is primarily a football gig, but as we continue to grow, we're doing more basketball every year.

Ideally you have covered Michigan in some capacity and are comfortable and capable of reacting, analyzing and explaining what matters most.

You have a definitive, entertaining and engaging writing style.

    Our freelancers know football.
Our freelancers typically work remotely. We'd love to have somebody in Ann Arbor, but writing talent trumps zip code.
Our freelancers frequently are graduates of said program and have institutional knowledge.
Our freelancers occasionally are student journalists.
Our freelancers are paid per story, not per click.
Most of our freelancers have been with us for 5+ years.

If this describes you and you are interested, please email a resume and links to 5 or 6 columns to: cwright@saturdaydownsouth.com.

I'll be at the opener wearing my purple. Hopefully ECU goes up there and pulls off a massive upset. Michigan is a 36-point favorite.
