I swear, this douchebag is so desperate, he'll pull anything out of his ass to try and get votes.

He seems like a decent enough guy away from the spotlight, but he's too much of a tool to be on the Hill.

David Brooks had a good column praising Santorum for the work he does in Congress - he's involved in a lot of solid, bi-partisan legislature -but noted how his fanatical political side is going to push him out of office.

That was a typical Brooks ball licking of a GOP member of Congress.

He's no more desperate than any other douchebag on the Hill trying to get votes.

Oh yeah, but it was a good column and pretty revealing to what GOPers are like nowadays.

Rick was beat when the Democrats nominated Casey. He's utter killer-kryptonite to Santorum,
on the abortion issue, and others. Bye, bye, Ricky.

That's what kills guys like Brooks and other intelligent, fiscal Republicans. Why would Santorum throw away the good he does to harp on relative non-issues like gay marriage and abortion? If he is a good legislator, one who actually tries to do good, it is a shame if he goes. Then again, I'm steadfastly against his social issues.

What is so great about Santorum that Imus has to fellate him (and Lieberman) daily?

Santorum is defined by: 1) his stance on social issues; and 2) his take no prisoners style of politics. Everything else is a distant third.
