    Christ, at that point I just would have held on to Santana and gotten draft picks. That's awful.

    you want Hughes, you want Ellsbury and you settle for that?

    Won't know how this one pans out for another 4-5 years. However, the deal the Yankees had on the table (involving Cabrera and Hughes) seems to have been a better offer. My first instinct is that the Twins overplayed their hand and got burned.
