Apparently not anymore as this is what comes up when you click on that link now:

Sorry, that job is no longer listed on JournalismJobs.com. Click
on the Find a Job tab above to search for other jobs.

That just happened, then, because it was there when I posted the link.

My understanding is two in sports, not counting Vicki Friedman, who moved from sports to community news a couple of months ago.

Not sure who the newly departed are.

All that's missing is an "ooooooo, Lord!" and a "Go on, take the money and run..." which the SOB already did.

"Nevertheless, The Pilot's financial outlook is brightening, said Maurice Jones, the president and publisher.

Combined, the newspaper and its associated companies turned a profit in the first quarter of the year, said Jones, who declined to disclose figures. March was The Pilot's most robust month in at least a year, he said, with every unit recording a profit."

    Fuck you.

But we still have to cut jobs because we're not making ENOUGH money. And people wonder why papers are in the shape they're in. Jesus Christ.

That's one of the reasons I'm walking away soon. Times are tough, but I believe I will be better off doing something else.

Diminishing assets. They're milking what they can, and screw you, little man.

    Run for the exits.

    Got it? Good.
