No, but when there is only a group of stations that play the same 10 songs on the radio (in my area), sometimes I'd like to hear an alternative voice. I rarely listen to Hannity for more than a few minutes, mostly for my own amusement.

Isn't Air America on the air anymore? If not, I know XM or Sirius has left-leaning talk.

That leads to this question: Why does conservative talk radio seem to be profitable while liberal talk radio isn't?

Part of the answer here is that if you strip away the political slant, Rush is damn good at radio and the people on Air America are terrible at it.

Rush is a radio guy who does politics. Most of the people I've heard on Air America are political people trying to do radio. There's a huge difference there.

I guess on the flip side, The Daily Show is pretty good and Fox News' Half-Hour Comedy Hour (or whatever it's called) wasn't.
I guess liberal satire plays better on TV and the right-wing stuff does better or radio.

As the more intelligent group, the web is the best place for them. People have to actually read. They have to process information and think.

With right-wing radio, which caters to people with less education (it's a fact, read the demographic studies), the appeal to listeners is that it doesn't force them to think. All they have to do is agree. Words come out of the speakers, goes into their heads and they repeat those same lines. Simple.
