    I agree. So don't sign the contract to show the stuff. Leave it to the sports professionals who will show it live and keep your morning shows.

    It's official; after 43 years, Wimbledon is off NBC.

    This is such a no-brainer. NBC couldn't guarantee it until ... 2014. WTF?

    If you're going to broadcast sports, this quote needs to be reiterated during all negotiations, from the Wimbledon CEO

    “Live is pre-eminent. Live is the nature of the game now on sports around the world, not just for tennis, but for other ones.”

    That said ... we're a year out from all the bitching again about delayed Olympics coverage. Go away, NBC. This isn't 1982.

    Does ESPN use the NBC music? If not, that will be the sad thing about them losing it. Couple of the classic sports themes.

    Both the intro and the closing. I can hear a Dick Enberg comment now while Martina or Sampras holds the trophy and it goes to commercial.
