For people who aren't national names, and don't merit their own thread - like this guy.

Pretty stupid to have a political talk show host - right/left whatever - involved with your sports broadcasting team. Geez KIRO, get Dave Sims to come in on game days. He's free.

This will quickly eclipse the politics thread in number of posts.

Ironic observation: When I first saw the name of the announcer, I thought it was a woman.

Supposedly it was an ad for Manscape, the hair trimmer for your nuts.

    I wish I was kidding.

He had an Instagram post plugging Manscaped, which isn’t a league partner. The NFL takes these things way too seriously.

So was it the post that was transphobic or the ad itself?

I did, too. I thought it was awfully odd for a woman to make such comments.

Neither - it wasn't a league sponsor. You know how the NFL is. You can wear whatever you want in front of your locker, but if you are on the podium, you wear and drink only league sponsored items.

Monson’s tweet was not as bad as I feared it would be, but it still strayed hard political and the guy if nothing else should be suspended for dumbassery — i.e. not knowing his audience.

But that was his problem - it was perfect for his political audience, not so much for the local NFL team, which is celebrating LGBT History month (which I guess is different from Pride?)
