I believe sharted is the correct terminology in this case.

Hey, I won't argue that Maynor had his best game last night. There was a stretch were he turned it over a couple of times and missed a few. He did hit six of his last nine (alas not the last one) and he had nine assists. I'd go to him again and again and again.

As to forever_town's point, damn straight.

But, on the good side, your coach'll be around for another year.

    You promise?

My old paper did a story today about the package being put together to keep him. I hope it works out.

It's interesting that Virginia and Old Dominion barely drew anybody (less than 3,000) for their first-round games in the CBI, but Virginia Tech filled its arena for an NIT first-round game against a MEAC team with only one extra day to sell tickets.

Tech has good fans, and Cassell is a good place to watch a game.

And there's nothing else to do in Blacksburg.

  8. Gators had only 5,000. So, of course, they get another home game.

At least no one has called this the NIT TOURNAMENT (since Tournament is already in the damn name of the event!)

You're not really surprised, are you?

At least the NIT has some history and prestige to it. The CBI is a trivia question in waiting.

Which I guess would make a ticket stub a cool souvenier.

I haven't done a search yet - but surely it has been called "Invitational" somewhere

The NIT is seeded now. Gators get another home game because they're a No. 2 facing a No. 3 in Creighton.
