Keep in mind that every time the Super Bowl has been in Tampa, the Giants have represented the NFC. This year will be no different. They are clearly the class of the field and getting to beat the hated Eagles along the way will only make it more enjoyable.

The AFC is slightly more open, but I wouldn't bet major coin against the Colts, as long as Peyton Manning stays healthy. Steelers have no shot without Roethlisberger and even if he plays, its asking a lot for him to carry that offense. Not taking Ravens with a rookie quarterback nor the Dolphins.

So, it's Giants vs. Colts. We'll get to watch Manning commercials EVERY SINGLE DAY for the next year.

    As for wild card week:

AFC: Colts over Chargers, Manning wins the big games, Rivers doesn't. Chargers would need a monster game from an injured LT.

Ravens over Dolphins, two teams that rely on defense and Baltimore does it a little better. Over/under at least on defensive TD.

NFC: Falcons over Cardinals, neither team has much in the way of playoff experience, but when the Falcons have an off day, they aren't as bad as the Cardinals on an off-day. Cards are 6-0 vs. NFC West, 3-7 vs. everyone else.

Eagles over Vikings, it depends which offense finds a way to screw things up worse. Eagles have a few more weapons. Vikings have nothing at all aside from Peterson. As reviled as McNabb is, would you prefer Tarvaris Jackson in a big game?

I seem to recall the Redskins getting cornholed by the Raiders in Tampa.

Edit: Simon beat me to it.

There's nothing better than the 8-8 team and the 9-7 team getting home games against the 12-4 and an 11-5 teams.

    Rewarding mediocrity.

Would you all — and that includes you, PD — kindly not spoil an otherwise useful thread with your witty banter.

If you absolutely, positively feel the need to discuss this, start your own thread or keep it in PMs.

Without looking at the spreads, does every game feature a home underdog?

I'm not going to look that up, I would not even know where to start, but I'm sure that has never happened before.
