I'll say this for Lewis: Cincy never quit, and played some pretty good football over the last half of the season - 4-3-1 - against fair competition.

    Welcome to our world.

    Sincerely,
    Bills fans

Seriously, it's like the team actively tries to find new and amusing ways to lose. (If you covered Bills-Jets at the Meadowlands and heard some of the Buffalo beat guys laughing in disbelief at the Losman rollout/fumble/Jets TD -- well, they're used to it, because that's how the entire second half of the season has gone.)

Fire a coach who gave Denver its only two Super Bowl wins?

    Even Bowlin isn't that insane.

Jerry Jones said after the game today that Wade Phillips will be back next year.

Shanahan gets to stay in Denver as long as he wants, of course the number of people being sad to see him go will continue to grow smaller each year.

Given that's the second time he's said it in three days, probably so.

Sean Payton is safe...Gary Gibbs better not be.

And then made the scapegoat next year.

Mike Shanahan should have been long gone ... hasn't done anything of note in Denver for 10 years.

But given that Pat Bowlen is too busy being Shanahan's friend, Shanahan will simply appease the LCD fanbase by dumping his third defensive coordinator in as many years, make a scene shoving a couple of players out the door and come out smelling like a rose. A wilting, glowing-orange rose.
