    They had to make it. There were barely enough teams with seven D-I wins to fill out the field of 16. Which explains why the CAA got four at-large teams in.

    If there was an NIT for football, I guarantee Hofstra would have made it. And lost in the first round.

    If they stuck Hawaii in this tournament they'd still only get to the semis, at best.

    I believe that the last time they were in the title game they did. Give me a sec, and I'll look it up.

    In 2002, they lost on the road at McNeese State (according to ESPN at any rate) in the second round.

    I've never seen a field so shiny like UMass'. Gotta love the fake grass.

    I used to go to games there when they played UConn. That stadium was the most depressing concrete structure I've ever seen. Made you feel like you were watching a game in Kiev or Stalingrad.
