Hate to break this to ya, Blitz, but State has yet to play in the CWS championship game/championship series.

Best finish was in '85, when they placed third. Still an awesome team, with the four future big leaguers.

The Fresno State first baseman just made the play of the year, maybe in any sport. Going after a foul pop fly, he slid in the dirt near a rolled-up tarp, caught the ball, sprang up and gunned out a Carolina runner trying to tag and go to third, making it a double play.

The third baseman, for his part, put on a block that would make a LB proud.

It'll be No. 1 on the highlight shows tonight and tomorrow. Trust me.

I was referring to the "top plays" segment, so I hope I'm right. I don't think they'd stick a death clip in that list.
