So? These bowls aren't about wins so much as whose fans buy tickets.

The worst team in any BCS conference doesn't play in the Big East, I know that much.

Cincinnati was undefeated precisely because it was in the Big East, though. And WVU's near-run was the same thing (thank God they couldn't beat a shitty Pitt team). It's just that easy to do if you're even a marginal top-20 program. WVU was a nice Fiesta Bowl win, but it doesn't change the fact that there's a league that simply doesn't play BCS-level football and never will. As an AQ, its credentials are no better than the WAC's.

It's a lot of hope to pin on TCU.

Couldn't quote specifics but I'd suspect those fan bases make it a wash there.

Mallett vs. Pryor. Hell of a QB matchup

The fact that as recently as five years ago Virginia Tech paid Connecticut and Cincinnati to come to Blacksburg for guarantee games tells you all you need to know about the Big East's level of football.

Oregon is unbeaten only because it is in the Pac 10, which blows this year.

Oh, they care. They may not care in Upper New York, but everybody north of Fairfield cares, you can bet.

Oregon beat Stanford, which would have won the Big East by eight furlongs.

One site (CBS) has Tennessee vs. Michigan in Gator Bowl.
While it would be an even matchup, those teams don't deserve that high of a bowl.

Can they get Josh Groban to sing the national anthem?

Scanning that list of possible matchups, there aren't even five games that are good enough or interesting enough to warrant giving up three hours of my time.

    Ones I'd be interested in:

    Utah vs. Boise State
    Alabama vs. Michigan State
Air Force vs. North Carolina (AFA's bowl games seem to always be fun)
    Virginia Tech vs. Stanford (duh)
    Wisconsin vs. TCU
    Arkanpig vs. The Sweater Vest
    Michigan vs. Tennessee
    Penn State vs. Florida
    Miami vs. Notre Dame
Illinois vs. Baylor (just because the Bears haven't been bowling in so long)
Northern Illinois vs. Florida International (sike)
