And as I said, Michigan losing to USC does nothing to disprove the original premise: Florida was placed in a title game in which it does not belong because of irrational fanboys like yourself.

This was further proved when Tennessee and Arkansas showed how completely inept they are. Wisconsin practically gave Arkansas the game in the second half, but Arkansas was too fucking clueless to take it.

Of course, this should have come as no surprise since Arkansas had lost by more than five scores at home to USC. No wonder you think USC is the second coming. But again, the SEC fanboys decided to forget this and continued to trumpet Arkansas as a top 5 team during the season.

Michigan's SOS also ranks higher than Florida, which had to eke out wins against mediocre opponents. A loss to USC does nothing to change that fact.

Florida does not belong in the title game. It didn't five weeks ago after beating an overrated Arkansas team, and it doesn't now.

The next time the voters in the Coaches and Harris poll are referred to as fanboys will be the second time in history.

Who plays in the title game had nothing to do with journalists......which you are appearing to be less and less the longer you continue this. That you can't let it go over a month after the game was announced shows a severe case of fanboy-looserdom for Michigan. Chuck got over it. You continue your petty bickering, irritating the rest of the board while making yourself appear more and more ludicrous with each Kool-aid post.

We have moved on to what will happen in the game itself. It's time you did the same.

I could not care less about Michigan, its idiot fans or Lloyd "Alamo Bowl" Carr. Whether you believe that is of little concern.

I anticipate the game. OSU is allowing barely more than 10 points a game. Florida should have its hands full.

However, because of the Michigan result, I realize that even if Florida loses 45-0, the SEC fanboys here will continue to claim they belonged in the game.

    But they don't.

You probably would have complained that Penn State got its shot at Miami in the 1987 Fiesta Bowl, after it nearly lost to Cincy and barely beat the Terps. That team had no offense, too. Guess how that worked out?

Again, you miss the point. We've moved on. You should too. It's time to pull a Mark McGwire and stop talking about the past. Why do you think OSU is so far superior to Florida?

Apples and oranges. In 1987, the conference links to the top bowls were still in place.

Except that Miami and Penn State were both independent. Jeez, your lack of knowledge is startling. That's why the Fiesta Bowl targeted them.

I realize that; thanks for illustrating my point.

Other, possibly better teams were already going to other bowls.
