    That's a good story.
My recollection of Speith when he was going good that his putter was phenomenal, right? Because he doesn't have the physical tools to match up with the big boys.
So if the putter goes, its bye-bye Speith.

It really hasn't been his putter. He just can't keep the tee ball on the fairway, so he winds up taking those 10-15 footers for pars, not birdies.

Scott Piercy 3-over through nine today and needs to giddyup to make the cut.

Spieth with, so far, a nice bounce-back, 3-under through 13 and is above the cut line, but a blowup hole could still happen.

Rory's recent display is exactly why I love watching golf...birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie, par...triple, all from about 4 feet or less. My goodness.

Piercy clearly not comfortable playing in San Francisco...

Lots of big names at +2, one over the projected cut line. Still time for Eldrick to join them.

Yeah, he's sputtering to the finish line. Cut should be at plus-1. He's dropped back to even with five to go.

And the big cat is now on the cut line.

Has about three feet of made putts so far.

And that was on one hole -- when he made a 4-footer.

And just like that he makes a putt. Should be clear for the weekend. @exmediahack can fill us in, but I think there were good odds that Tiger would not make the cut because of the weather/back issues.
