All I know is he can't be any worse than Aaron Kanter .. still pissed about him knocking out Raymer last year. </raymerfanboy>

As for a big pro who will go deep, I like Seif, too, but I'll play it Safe <hawhaw ... ugh> and go with Phil Ivey. He's the one pro I am certain will cash and probably make the top 250.

Not sure if he's playing in the Main, but it would be hard to ignore Chip Reese after he won the 50K HORSE event.

Chris Ferguson is probably the guy I've most modeled my game after, though. I just love the way he plays. Very, very solid.

Reese's HORSE win is actually the one the pros will appreciate most. Agree on Ferguson. He's great at avoiding the idiots for long periods of time.

Ivey is a good pick, and I always root for Raymer and Barry Greenstein.

    But I'm taking John Juanda.

Juanda's had a nice WSOP. Cashed five times, but no biggies yet.

    So he's overdue. :)

Just as long as Matusow doesn't cash, I'll be happy.

He'll win the main event for sure now. :'(

Have you learned how to throw a playing card through a cucumber yet? Jesus says the trick comes in very handy when the button is thinking about stealing your blind.

The big winner is the casino industry in Vegas. All those people waiting around for extra days with nothing to do.

The cash games and spec bets that go on outside the WSOP have to be mind-boggling. With no other WSOP events starting until next Thursday, the guys who aren't playing a particular flight are tossing around hundreds of thousands on the side. Some of these guys live the life ... and then there's Matusow.

Question: You see these guys on TV (and the ones trying to make it to the top) and most of them seem like total pricks, assholes and losers. Is that just the way they are at the table or does it carry over into real life?

I thought that I read that Matusow blew his entire payout from last year's main event on sports gambling. If that is true, then that is really pathetic.
