I am going to forward some of these links you are posting to some of the major news outlets. They seem not to be aware that Obama has lifted the ban.

I'm sure there's a video there that proves your point, but I can't get it to play.

But, the press was always able to get pictures of a flag draped coffin. All they had to do was attend a funeral.

Here's a picture of Ross' flag draped coffin at his funeral:

But, for the press, it was never about a single Soldier, Airman, Sailor, or Marine. The wanted to ride out to a military base and get pictures of multiple flag draped coffins.

How many reporters attend those ceremonies now?

Foe me, seeing Ross' casket is moving. Seeing his picture makes it personal. This is the young man who gave his life fighting for our freedom:

    Rest in Peace Corporal Ross.

Oh, and do you want to see how much the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel valued his life and mourned his death?

Not only did they not get a picture of a flag draped coffin, he came in last in the "regional news briefs":

    AZ, I appreciate the links.

But, the vermont Free Press covering the death of a local Marine is different than the national press clamoring for pictures of fallen Soldiers, Airmnen, Sailors, and Marines.

And, the News-Leaders photo isn't from an arrival ceremony.

We both know that what the press wanted was pictures of multiple flag draped caskets. The more the better. What would be a better club to use to bash George W. Bush?

Those are the pictures they no longer want.

Now, in general, I agree that those pictures should not have been forbidden. But, it's a moot point now. No one wants them. They serve no political purpose any more.
