    No way Rudy can get the GOP nomination. Ain't. Gonna. Happen.

    Name a single southern Republican state primary where Rudy can beat McCain.

    That's the problem for Rudy. The Republican nominee will be John McCain, barring something very unusual. Since the end of WW2, the Republicans have always picked the most obvious choice. There is no similar situation like Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton where somebody who wasn't the already near the top or at the top has won the Republican nomination. McCain with Rudy as VP probably would give the Republicans the best shot to win the 2008 election.
