Rolling Rock -- noticed a difference?

Anheuser-Busch bought Rolling Rock in May. Last month, production moved from Latrobe, Pa., to Newark. It is now made with water from the Wanaque reservoir.

    Noticed a difference?

The old stuff tasted like pee so I'm not going to bother trying the new stuff.

Does it still taste like water?

You mean the water or the beer?

RR was the flavor of the month when I started really drinking beer, but that's so long ago. As for a change, if A-B makes it now, forget it. Forever.

We always called it Latrobe piss water.

Personally, I love the stuff -- fuck Yuengling :D -- and haven't noticed much of a difference. Then again, I'm not very observant off the clock.

  7. Wow...Had several Rocks on Sunday and have to admit, they went down a little smoother....not as tart. I did not realize A-B bought them

It's Rolling Rock, after all -- it's rather like sex in a canoe.

I would never try the new stuff simply because it's Anheuser-Busch.

I quit drinking the stuff totally after the move.

    OK, I'm ignorant.

Why the blatant hatred of A-B? Why is it worse than any other company?

It's just shitty beer. And now they've bought a quirky, charming brand and taken away a significant piece of it's identity.
