I heard that Ben Roethlisberger had an appendectomy today.

    Any confirmation?

No, but a cryptic newsalert just moved about a Charger being shot.

    Wow.

Can a player come back from an appendectomy in four days?

First Matt Foley. Now Steve Foley.

Lord, why can't it ever be Jeremy Foley?

If the Charger -- god forbid -- dies, which story leads SportsCenter?

I bet they go with Roethelisberger, with a bad segue like "from bad, to worse. Steve Foley of the San Diego Chargers..."

The Yankees' victory, of course, leads SportsCenter.

And if Kobe takes a shit, they'll have a fact or fiction with Screaming A and Greg Anthony.
