If a GM signs Cano for 10 years and $305M as the asking price is reported, MLB should immediately institute random drug testing for GMs.

You put the Mariners in there as a joke right?

The last big name FA's the M's paid for were Sexson and Beltre and they both took a gigantic shit in Safeco Field. They are never players for real talent.

Lord, that's insane. No one is worth that much coin. We see this over and over and over again. Do these management types ---with their MBAs --- not learn anything?

Beltre was a big-time free agent at the time. He had just put together a monster season with the Dodgers and he was only going to be turn 27 during the season after the Mariners signed him. He didn't have Cano's extended track record, but he was younger and it wasn't like the big production came out of nowhere. Beltre was one of the top prospects in the game coming up.

It didn't work out well, but the Mariners were most definitely at least trying to play with the big boys when they signed him.

Then Beltre went of the juice and shit the bed in Seattle.

Yeah he was dreadful in Seattle.

Wasn't his most memorable moment when he took a grounder to the nuts and went on the DL?

Cute. Now you're just going full-in troll by making idiotic PED use accusations all over the place in the hopes of starting shit. At least trolling is appropriate given who started the thread.

I forgot, the Mariners paid a shitload of money to Chone Figgins for some stupid reason. Then he shit the bed when he was there and they ate that contract also.

The track record they have with FA players is fucking horrid.

Yep, it seems like it doesn't matter whether they bring up young players or sign veteran guys, they're going to finish about 70-92. Managerial graveyard.

Dude, you stalked me with this shit on at least two threads. Congratulations. On a thread started by Manky of all people, you are the worst troll here.
