Heading to KC in a couple weeks (mid-week, probably Jan 16-18) for work. What's good to see, drink, and eat there?

    All recommendations are appreciated.

January would be a good time to go to Arthur Bryant's. Fewer flies on your food.

    Jack Stack for BBQ.
    Bristol Seafood for Seafood.
Johnny's Tavern for Sports Bar/Pub Food.

    Lots of hookers for entertainment.

Don't know if you're into presidential history, but the Truman Library and Museum in nearby Independence is really cool. Eight bucks, but you could spend an entire day there. Tours of the Trumans' home not too far down the street are available. You have to buy tickets at another location, though.

Not a jazz fan but I found the American Jazz Museum really cool. It's also right by the Negro Leagues Museum. Worth the time.

Unfortunately, it now looks like I’ll have very little time for sight-seeing, which narrows my available time down to breweries and BBQ. Hopefully, I’ll be making multiple trips over the next 6-12 months, though.

Appreciate the feedback. Keep it coming.

What's the specialty? Wheat perch? :)

Why eat seafood about as far away from the source as you can get? Stick with the burnt ends, brother! And yes, Jack Stack had some excellent burnt ends in my lone visit to town several years ago.

Spent a morning of a wedding (not mine) at Kelly's. Walked in and all the chairs were pointed toward the window as people made comments about the people walking down the street while sipping bloody marys - it was quite fun.
