Really troubled by the Taco Bell commercial that is running with Joe Girardi and Mariano Rivera.

Gist is a guy can't finish his extra large Chalupa so Girardi has to replace him with Rivera.

Are they suggesting that Mo is going to devour a half eaten Chalupa?

Stupid commercial, if you ask me.
Most of America (even though it's the Yanks, too) doesn't know who the main actors are.
It's sort of an interesting statement on sports and society. And on pro baseball.
Nobody knows Joe Girardi. Rivera's sort of anonymous for many, too.

That is to commercials what Girardi is to managing.

Might have been better if it was a black taco instead of a chalupa.

That's one thing about Rivera. For all of his dominance through the years, the guy has never been in the spotlight outside of baseball.

You see Jeter all over the place, and A-Rod to a lesser extent. The only endorsement I can ever remember Rivera making was in a newspaper ad for a suit.

A better question: Aren't fruit bats vegetarian?

Rivera saws off the rest of the chalupa with a cutter.

What happens if a call is argued while aformentioned XL Chalupa is being eaten?

Does Giradi kick ground beef all over home plate?

Can we just start a Taco Bell subforum for Boom to start all his Taco Bell commercial threads in?
