    In London, in 1997, they played at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea is based. I was there for four games. The crowd was meager. Everybody knew - or quickly realized - the difference between developmental players and the first string.

    Something that popped into my mind was the NFL now doesn't want the potential for more liability of players being hurt, especially related to brain injuries where the evidence shows repetitive contact is a cause

    Given the current state of the world, it's something they can sit on for a couple of years and figure it out later. The price tag won't put any of them in the poor house. Not sure how they will deal with the creditors, but that's their problem.

    The creditors will get paid (or realistically won’t) out of what is left of the assets of the league. The new owners won’t have to pay anything to them.

    Given McMahon's wealth - how can this league stiff anyone? He said he had the cash to run it for two years no problem. Was he careful to only put money into Alpha as it was needed and made sure it was bone dry when COVID hit?
